Week 3 – Areas I Want to Improve on to Increase My Confidence

Hello and welcome to week three of my new series Fabulous Introverts.

Thanks for following along so far and I hope you’re enjoying it? Apologies in advance for the tonne of information I’m including! There’s a lot to cover but it’s all useful in helping you.

What we’ve covered so far:

The intro – This was an introduction into the series, what we’re covering over the remainder of the weeks and a space to leave your thoughts and ideas.

Week 1 – We covered the personality test to find out whether you’re an introvert or not (even though it doesn’t matter if you’re not as you can still follow along!), and what it all means. I break down each letter, as well as the different traits, roles and your ‘strategy’.

Week 2 – This week we covered how to use your positives (and some negatives but I didn’t want to focus too much on those) for your every day life. You may have made notes, and I gave examples from each personality to show you how to adapt each of your personality traits for action.

Would You Date a Man With Anxiety?

charlie tries online dating Today we have a guest post from a fellow local blogger. Although my blog is mainly for women, I know there are some men in the audience! Tim provides a male perspective on what it’s like to have anxiety. Thanks Tim!

Dating with social anxiety – what a massive head-fuck! Nothing is guaranteed to ramp up those cortisol levels more than putting yourself in a position where you will be automatically judged based on every single criteria that it’s possible to be examined by.

Looking back, I don’t know how I ever managed to pull when I had anxiety! Beer and MDMA may have something to do with it. It certainly wasn’t my cool, calm demeanour and alpha male, take-no-shit ruggedness!

One of the biggest stigmas around mental illness is that it makes a person weak or that only weak people suffer from it. This is particularly the case for men. I know this because I’ve experienced it from men and women in different ways. Men of course, sometimes view you as “soft”.

I believe the current terminology would be “delicate snowflake” or “cuck”. But I do think that this view does exist even amongst normal, decent members of society, not right-wing knuckle-heads with nothing better to do than hang around social media picking fights.

Week 2 – How Can I Apply My Introverted Positives in my Everyday Life?

Hello and welcome to part two of Fabulous Introverts!

So far we’ve covered the intro, the personality test itself, and today we’re going to look at how you can apply your personality traits into everyday life. After all, it’s all well and good knowing how you work, but applying this is the hard/exciting part. If you missed the first part, go back here now. Make sure to do the test (your homework!)

So, depending on your result, as I mentioned before I’m going to focus on the introverts out there. This is just because I tend to relate better to introverts and I am one myself 🙂 Being an anxiety sufferer myself it really helps to find others who ‘get’ me, and who I get along well with.

Fabulous Introverts Week 1 – Am I an Introvert?

Hi, all!

Welcome to week 1 of this 5-week series all about being an introvert and how you can use this to your advantage. I’m talking both in your personal life and work life, whichever you want to apply it to.

Before we move into more detailed stuff, the first step to realising your potential is to figure out whether you’re an introvert or not.

I’m focusing on the introverts out there now though as certain tasks are more difficult for us. It can be difficult to feel confident in our own body, and talking to people for the first time (this is me sometimes, too).

Once we’ve gone through this, it is worth remembering that it’s okay if you aren’t an introvert! We are all VERY different and that’s the beauty of us as humans. You will still be able to apply everything I’ll be covering if you’re an extrovert.

So, the first step is to find out where you fall, personality-wise.
