A series of articles aimed at you, the introvert, to improve your confidence and learn to love yourself more using well-known self-assessment techniques.
Welcome to my new series!
I’ve not been sleeping very well recently. Not sure if it’s the change of job and routine or not, but this series is a result of that! Honestly, this epiphany couldn’t have come at a better time and I’m so grateful I had this brainwave!
I’m really excited to share this with you today.
Although this series is mainly aimed at introverts (as I am most definitely one of these and I find it easier to relate to other introverts), I’m not excluding the extroverts reading this right now (because you are also fabulous!).
The reason for this series has come about following emails I’ve been receiving recently. You are all fab, but I know that some of you find it difficult to know where to start. The feeling of being overwhelmed is tough and you struggle where to go. This series is going to help you with that.

I don’t know about you but there seems to be this huge taboo for people with anxiety who like a drink. I know what you’re thinking. Alcohol makes anxiety worse, you even said it yourself.
You would be right on this, too.
I’ve said before that alcohol should really be cut down on when you’re trying to recover from the aftermath anxiety leaves.
ANY form of alcohol is a depressant (the opposite of a stimulant, like Red Bull), which should be avoided when on medication for your anxiety.
But, I’m also a firm believer that you can do whatever you like, as long as you’re not hurting anyone. I am on medication for my anxiety as it helps decrease the physical symptoms that anxiety produces. But, I also drink (never to excess!) and everyone who knows me will also know this.
Today I’m here to give you a little pep talk and some advice, just in case you were worried about how alcohol affects your anxiety. I know that some of you may not agree with me on this one, but I know that I’ll never please everyone on this!

Hello, everyone! Sorry for being out of action for a while but works been keeping me busy and I’ve been shattered! I’ve started my new job now so I’m hoping that’ll help me keep things simple and work on looking after myself for a bit more.
Even though I’ve not been on here recently, I do post regularly on Instagram. If you’re on there too I’d be nice to see you! Click here to follow along. I post mostly random musings and pretty objects/scenes I find along the way which you might like.
On another note, I’ve been having some weird dreams recently.
When I say weird, I mean dreams where I’m crying in my dream and I wake up crying for real. I don’t know about you but my anxiety tends so make me have vivid dreams that feel so real. Like you hurt from the betrayal and heightened emotions you feel when you wake up.
On the outside looking in, I’d think, “She is one crazy mofo”. But I can’t take that stance because those dreams are so close to home that they become impossible to ignore.
This leads me onto the reason for today’s post.
